Linda
Day is a violinist, composer and illustrator
who lives in Austin, Texas. Her deep interest in
the teachings of Jesus and other spiritual leaders
grew out of nine years of comparative studies with
local friends in Kamakura, Japan. She is now illustrating a children’s storybook based on the Love Your Enemies narrative, to be released in 2008. The original, narrated Love Your Enemies CD will be included in this book.

Christopher
LeCluyse (tenor) specializes in sacred and
choral music as well as songs of the Middle Ages, Renaissance,
and
Baroque. As part of Austin’s lively music scene, Chris sings
and records with the Conspirare Choir, La Follia Austin
Baroque, Texas Early Music Project, and the Scola Cantorum
at Saint Mary’s Cathedral. He has also appeared as
guest artist with the Ars Lyrica Houston and the University
of Texas Chamber Singers. In 2002 the Austin Critics’ Table
named him Outstanding Male Singer for his performances
with Texas Early Music Project. His Ph.D. from the
University of Texas at Austin is for his research on
bilingual poems
and songs from Medieval England.
Jenifer Thyssen (soprano) also focuses on early music. She has studied at the
Amherst Early Music Baroque Academy and has performed
as Amanzio
in Il Giustino, Dorinda in The Tempest, Armida in Rinaldo,
Morgana in Alcina, and Filia in Carrisimi’s beautiful
oratorio, Jephte. In December of 2001, Jenifer performed
the Texas premiere of the recently rediscovered Handel
Gloria, for soprano and chamber orchestra. In June, 2003,
she was chosen Outstanding Female Classical Singer by the
Austin Critics’ Table. You can hear her on The

recording. Jenifer lives in Austin, Texas, with her
husband, Andrew, and two sons.

Matthew Hinsley earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Texas in 2003 and serves as executive director of the Austin Classical Guitar Society. Daniel Johnson has been the artistic director of the Texas Early Music Project since its inception in 1987. He tours extensively in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, performing Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music both as a soloist and ensemble member. He also performs at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston and with various Texas ensembles. Jacqueline Hofto is a free-lance
musician who directs the outreach program at the
University of Texas at Austin. She has toured the
US and Great Britain as a soloist and played concerts
throughout Asia. She has also recorded for Musical
Heritage.
Genaro Gonzalez is professor of percussion
at Texas State University. He is co-principal
percussionist with the Austin Symphony Orchestra and
principal percussionist with the Austin Lyric Opera Orchestra.
He has performed
with many stars and for the movie soundtrack, Spy
Kids 2.
Serge Laine is a native of Central France and holds
a Ph.D. in French folk music and literature. He
sings in
French and Breton, and plays accordion, bagpipes,
dulcitare, and hurdy-gurdy, as well as the bodhran
(Irish) drums
you hear in Jesus of Nazareth and Love Your Enemies.
Serge has lived and taught in Austin since 1978.
He performs and records with Irish, Scottish and
Cajun
bands.
